This week was busy for us here at Xtend Yourself Hair Salon. Niki was re-certified as a LOOK GOOD…FEEL BETTER educator here in Arizona and started her first week as a volunteer in the Ironwood Cancer Research Center Boutique in the Gilbert office. There they donate wigs to their patients undergoing chemotherapy and provide support for them via wig maintenance, makeup application, free hats, scarves and other head coverings as well as ongoing education via the LOOK GOOD…FEEL BETTER program, among others. Niki did one wig styling on a woman who received her very first wig through Ironwood just a few days before and will possibly be coming into Xtend Yourself to get her second wig colored. We also gave away a few scarves and some Deva samples of No Poo and One Condition. Both of these products are excellent for caring for wigs, both natural and synthetic.
